Then everything flooded back and he felt unbearable fear take over his body. He worked as hard as he could just to keep himself from trembling. What would he see when he opened his eyes? Where would he be? Where did that guy take him? Was he there waiting for him? Was he about to be killed?
Rhiannon looked around for him. Elias, look around, she said. It's safe...for now. She was on edge, moreso than he'd ever experienced.
Elias took a deep breath as he slowly opened his eyes. He was laying on a bed of prickly hay in what looked like a run-down but large and tall barn. He had no idea where he was -- was he even on Nadar anymore? It smelled like animals even though none were around.
He tried to look around, but winced in pain from when that guy had knocked him out. He felt violated, having no idea what had happened between that moment and this one. Why did he take him away? Was someone else here? Where was that guy and when was he coming back? Was he here now?
Breathe, Rhiannon offered while looking around. There are others here. She couldn't necessarily tell who else was here, but she and Elias alike wondered if they knew each other.
What was happening??
