Henri had been unable to think about anything else. Today was the day, however, and despite his clammy hands and the uneasy feeling in his stomach, he'd actually managed to walk himself over to her dorm room. Now he stood outside her door, wondering why he was torturing himself in this way.
Because you like her, Lydia said simply. She brushed against his legs, giving him a reassuring touch. It was a childish crush--text book, really, but it did make Henri want to spend time with Lucina, no matter how daunting the meetings seemed. Something about Lucina made her worth the effort it took Henri to stammer through their interactions. He avoided anything social at all costs, but here he was. Outside of her room.
Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.
Knock, knock, knock.
Henri closed his eyes and waited for Lucina to open the door.
