EMMA's past: Growing up, Emma had a very loving mother and a somewhat distant father. In the beginning, her mother had tried desperately to get their relationship to work, but her father was abusive and eventually her mother got fed up and left him. She was only one at the time. Her father still had custody of her every other weekend, and she would eagerly wait for her daddy to pick her up to take her on some amazing weekend adventure. Sometimes he'd come and the weekend was great, sometimes she wouldn't see him at all.
When Emma was three her half sister Camille was born. Getting to spend time with her younger half sibling was what made her always look forward to her weekends spent with her father. Most of the time, when the girls were together with their father he'd spend his time either badmouthing their mothers, or trying to buy their love with extravagant gifts and trips.
Around the same time, her mother also gave birth to her half brother, Wren. Emma loved both of her younger siblings and felt protective of them both. Since she spent most of her time with her brother however, she felt closer to him than Camille. Of course, her and her sister shared a different kind of sisterly bond that she could never share with Wren.
EMMA's present: Today, Emma barely ever sees her father, now that she's old enough to make her own decisions. She still tries to spend as much time with her younger sister as she can though. It's not their faults that their father sucks. She'll still visit with her father during holidays and such, just because she feels it's the right thing to do.
Emma is a senior now at Redfern, excited to graduate and go on to bigger and better things. Her whole school career she has gotten good grades, had a lot of friends, and has been on the track team, just like her mama. She hopes to become a counselor of teens and younger children who came from rough families, to guide them in the right path, and to help them.
