It was still early when Spenser arrived at his home in Stonecraft. The sun wasn't even peeking up from behind the horizon. After all the excitement on Annerb, he wanted to return home to change out of his blood-covered clothes and maybe even shower. He planned on making it quick though, he had to get back to help his father finish off their hostages.

Spenser yawned as he walked through the front door, and ran a hand through his dirty hair. He couldn't wait to shower. Then the sooner they could finish their job, the sooner he could get into bed.

Petra was already lying in wait in Cillian's apartment. The fucking asshole had finally gone too far. As soon as she'd received the taunting message he'd sent about what he was going to do to Axel, she'd been on the train to Stonecraft to find out where the bastard had taken her son.

She ignored the guilt nagging at the back of her mind (you should have done something about him sooner) and kept her sole focus on finding out where Axel was and getting him back. She would get him back. And then she'd murder Cillian so that he could never hurt her son again.

When she heard the door open she blasted a jet of water at the clio walking in, pinning them to the opposite wall with ice. It wasn't Cillian, but his younger son Spenser. Good enough. That meant Petra could fulfill her promise.

"Where's my son?" she asked Spenser. A sliver of ice raised itself up, its point stopping just beneath his chin.

Spenser of course, was startled when a blast of cold water threw him against the wall and pinned him there. When he realized that it was only Petra, however, he grinned despite the sharp piece of ice pointed straight for his face.

"Not here," he answered, matter-of-factly.

This bitch would have to beat it out of him if she wanted any information. Though the ice had him pinned, he managed to break free through brute force, grunting as he did so. Now that his hands were free he sent a flurry of rocks toward her. Since both he and his father were Adhbhar, they always kept a series of rocks and stones around the house for practice. Or to even kill "visitors."

Petra was surprised when Spenser rather easily broke out of the ice. Maybe all those times Cillian had bragged about him, it hadn't been complete bullshit after all. More annoyed than anything, she re-took the ice and melted it, bringing the water up in front of her as a shield, and then re-freezing it to block Spenser's rocks. She missed two, which pelted her in the leg and shoulder hard enough to leave bruises. Fuck, she was rusty.

This might end up being harder than she'd thought, but at the very least it wasn't an even playing field. Besides the couple stones he'd tossed her way, there was no natural earth in an apartment like this. Any Adhbhar clio would be at a huge disadvantage, no matter how skilled they were. Water, on the other hand, was everywhere.

Petra reached out. The pipes in the walls strained and groaned, before bursting. Water cascaded in through the walls, flooding the apartment completely. She had Spenser surrounded.

"Tell me where he is," she commanded through gritted teeth, raising up a whip of water and striking out at him.

As the pipes in his grungy little home burst, and water surrounded them, Spenser simultaneously recalled all of the rocks back to him, and formed club-like mittens around his hands and forearms. He was able to punch through the first whip and it dropped, but Petra was able to form another, and this one whipped him in the back. For a moment, the wind was knocked out of him, the skin on his back felt like it was on fire, but he regained his composure.

The mitten-clubs were still on his hands as he straightened his spine. His eyes were narrowed in a glare, but he smirked with his teeth.

"No," he replied defiantly.

He rushed toward her, not able to move as fast because of the water, but more agile than the average clio, throwing his fist right for her stomach.

Spenser came at her so fast that there was no time to dodge his punch. She doubled over when his rock-gauntlet struck her stomach, gasping, but took the opportunity to grab his arm so he couldn't evade her next attack. Water hit him in the side with the force of a fire hose, knocking him through the glass door that led to a balcony. Jagged spikes of ice forced him further back until he was right up against the edge with no where left to go.

"This is your last chance," she warned, breathing heavily the effort as well as the blows she'd taken. "Where is Axel?"

Spenser was taken by surprise when Petra took the opportunity to attack back. He sputtered as water filled his mouth. He couldn't even react to the glass door that broke and sliced open his back and the backs of his legs, the force of the water was too strong, and loud. He backed away from the ice spikes and grabbed the balcony railing tightly when he felt his butt hit the edge. Spenser wondered momentarily if he was going to die on this dark early morning. His only regret was that he wouldn't get to kill his brother himself.

"Annerb," he told her calmly. "We have him on an abandoned farm on Annerb." Then he smiled wickedly at her, making sure to make direct eye contact when he said, "Good luck finding him bitch, I hope for your sake he's still alive."

Annerb. Of course. Back in the day, her old organization had used an abandoned old barn in the middle of nowhere when they needed to take someone somewhere especially isolated. Cillian probably took it over and re-tooled it for his own purposes. There would be no one around for miles, no one to hear Axel screaming...

She pushed that thought away and might have even turned and left just then, when Spenser fucking smiled at her and said:

In a fury, Petra rescinded the ice spikes and instead sent a column of ice smashing into the boy, sending him tumbling over the railing. She didn't stick around to hear the impact or ruminate on the fact that she had more than likely just murdered a kid. There would be time for that later. The only thing on her mind now was getting to Annerb.

Spenser's stomach flip-flopped when the column of ice came straight toward him. He tried to force it back with his club-hands, but it was too fast, and too strong. When he started to fall it felt like slow motion, though the drop from the balcony to the concrete ground wasn't that long. He didn't scream or curse Petra. Instead he fell soundlessly, thinking about his father, and wishing he wasn't about to let him down.

When his head hit the concrete first, followed by his body, Spenser passed out immediately. His almost lifeless body lay limp, his leg bent at an odd angle, a pool of blood starting to slowly seep from the back of his head.

If Spenser had settled as anything else, he would have been dead right then, but his Eilemaiden protected him, softening the blow significantly.

Though Senua was able to fly, she also fell unconscious once her clio did, and her body lay near his, looking peaceful.

They could only hope that somebody would find them.
